| Getting here! People ask me "How do I get to Port Angeles, WA?" Several ways. If you are driving, say from Seattle or Seatac Airport, you can either go up to Edmonds and catch the ferry to Kingston, go through Port Gamble to the Hood Canal Bridge, then follow Highways 104 and 101 to PA. Or, you can take I-5 south to Tacoma, take Exit 132 to Highway 16, go north across the Tacoma Narrows Bridge to Bremerton, and Highway 3, then stay on that until you get to the Hood Canal Bridge, and follow 104 and 101 to PA. If you are coming from the south, like from Portland Oregon, you can get on to 16 in Tacoma, or take the scenic route by getting on 101 in Olympia stay on that until you get to PA. DON"T HAVE A CAR? NO PROBLEM. There are two ways to get here (actually three but you really don't want to use the third option) First, Olympic Bus Line (360-417-0700) runs daily from Seatac Airport, with pick ups in Seattle at the Amtrac Station and Greyhound Bus Terminal downtown. Call them for schedule and prices. Second, Kenmore Air (866-435-9524, www.kenmoreair.com) flies from Boeing Field to Port Angeles seven times a day. I can pick you up at the airport in Port Angeles at 8:00 a.m., take you on any of my tours and have you back in time to catch the 5:30 p.m. flight back. So, no excuses, now. You come on over and visit and let me show you around. |
